I characterize myself as easygoing, kind, and funny. Outside of counseling, I am a huge baseball fanatic and love the Chicago Cubs baseball team. I also love spending time with my family, friends, and my pets!
I like to help my clients gain insight of themselves by implementing various therapeutic interventions and techniques. I focus on using therapeutic interventions and techniques as a way to develop awareness in my clients regarding many of their presenting issues, developing coping strategies, focusing on finding ways to look for solutions, addressing many of their negative thought and behavioral patterns, and much more. Additionally, I use play-based therapy as a way to establish a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment for my child clients, so that they can freely express themselves and feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings with me during our sessions together. I love working with issues regarding anxiety, depression, trauma, identity and multicultural related issues, but open to working with anything.
