    How I Help my Clients:

I characterize myself as easygoing, kind, and funny. Outside of counseling, I am a huge baseball fanatic and love the Chicago Cubs baseball team. I am also interested in fitness, video gaming, anime, music, TV shows/movies, and a bit of a sneakerhead. More importantly, I love spending time with my family, friends, and my rabbit and 2 dogs!

I like to help my clients gain insight into themselves by implementing various therapeutic techniques and interventions. I focus on using techniques and interventions as a way to help my clients develop better awareness in themselves to work on their presenting issues. I help my clients connect with themselves and others by improving on their ability to understand their emotions and address any barriers that may be getting in their way. This is how I help children develop better relationships with their parents and help family members develop better relationships between each other. The types of issues that I like to work with are issues in regards to anxiety, depression, trauma, identity, multicultural, and more. I like to help my clients by identifying their triggers to their symptoms, developing coping strategies to manage them, and addressing any negative behavioral and thought patterns through the implementation of different types of therapies. My goal is to help my clients develop the tools that they need so that they feel more control of their lives. Additionally, I focus on creating a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment for all my clients, so that everyone can feel safe and comfortable when sharing their thoughts and feelings with me during our sessions together. I have been told by clients that I come off as someone who is kind, genuine, and compassionate, and knows how to challenge them and be direct whenever I need to be. Overall, I enjoy working with a variety of ages and client needs to utilize my unique therapeutic style as I work with children, adults, couples, and families.
