I characterize myself as passionate, excitable, and nonjudgmental. Outside of counseling I love competitive video games, so I play them and watch them regularly in my free time. I am also a huge fan of animation.
I bring strong compassion and listening skills to session where clients are allowed to share their stories while feeling heard. I try to empower my client’s confidence when they may feel inadequate. I have worked with individuals from highly marginalized groups and have a strong understanding of their struggles. My philosophy background from undergraduate helps me facilitate conversation on multiple levels. These levels include emotional discussions as well as philosophical and existential discussions. I work primarily through cognitive behavioral therapy and solution focused brief therapy focusing on techniques that prioritize change and look to how we can empower ourselves to make better decisions in the future that lead us to our best life.
