I characterize myself as collaborative, compassionate and insightful. Outside of counseling, the things that re-fuel me most are reading thrillers, being outside, and knitting. I will jump on any opportunity to try something new and make lasting memories with my family.
There are a number of theories I apply in my work with clients (CBT, Interpersonal Theory), and I am also a certified CPT Cognitive Processing Therapy provider for work with clients struggling with PTSD. However, the crux of my work lies within the rapport I build with my clients and the sincere empathy I feel for them. I offer a collaborative environment within therapy where I invite clients to tap into the deeper parts of what makes them who they are. Through a non-judgmental approach, I encourage clients to begin exploring their own life experiences with a sense of self-compassion and empowerment, leading to emotional healing.
