Chelsea Bogda LPC

Child and adult psychotherapy

As Maya Angelou once said, “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” We all have a story, and in today’s society, it can sometimes feel that no one understands or truly hears what we are trying to say. I believe therapy can offer a nonjudgmental and empathic environment for these stories to unfold.

By working collaboratively, therapist and client can explore how these stories have helped to shape who we are and lead us on a journey of who we wish to become. I am passionate about walking alongside my clients on their individualized journey towards self-discovery, growth, and peace.

I have experience working with a variety of ages from young children to older adults. I have worked with individuals experiencing symptoms of Anxiety, Depression, life transitions, grief and loss, and much more.

I utilize an eclectic approach to counseling, tailoring my strategies and interventions to the presenting individual, often incorporating modalities including client-centered, mindfulness-based, and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).

Erin Burns, M.A.

Adult and adolescent therapy, trauma therapy, identity work

In a world where mental health is often stigmatized, society can leave us feeling judged and misunderstood. Reaching out for help during a difficult time requires significant strength and courage. My passion as a therapist is to facilitate growth in clients, assisting them in accessing the strength they already possess within, while supporting them as they work towards personal growth in an empathic, nonjudgmental, and welcoming environment.

In order to accomplish clients’ goals within therapy, I focus on a collaborative relationship between therapist and client, creating a dynamic that allows clients to feel comfortable expressing themselves openly within session. I believe that a good therapeutic relationship is essential to client growth.

I have experience working with adolescents to older adults. I have worked with individuals experiencing symptoms of Anxiety, Depression, Schizoaffective Disorder, and much more. I am passionate about working with individuals who are struggling with identity as well as those who have experienced trauma.

In my work with clients, I utilize an eclectic approach to counseling, focusing on each individual’s unique experiences and how those experiences impact each client throughout life. I also incorporate Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), using concepts of mindfulness and emotion regulation, as well as Interpersonal Theory, applying a number of interventions that address the individual’s relationship with others and the self. While I understand the importance of using theory to provide structure within therapy, I determine my interventions based on client needs, tailoring treatment to each individual.
