“If you always do what you always did, you’ll always get what you always got” – Henry Ford
I characterize myself as passionate, funny (even though my kids will not agree), and always curious. Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with my family, my two rescue dogs- BoBo Ricketts and Mylee Snicketts, watching sunsets and sipping coffee, writing songs and being involved with live music, admiring tattoos, learning to cook new (and easy) dishes and volunteering with my kids’ school, local Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops and local animal shelters.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience providing counseling services to a variety of individuals, particularly adolescents, in various settings within the community and in schools. I have training in trauma-informed care and I utilize a collaborative, creative and competent approach to counseling in an effort to foster hope, expression, healing and resilience. I hope to bring compassion, curiosity and creativity to our sessions where we can work together and dive in. I want to help kiddos learn about mental health and equip them with coping skills and the emotional awareness to grow up courageously and competently. I also enjoy empowering parents looking to grow in their identity as a parent as well as adults looking to balance all that life throws at them. I’d like to support you in bringing balance back into your world.
